  1. Guess my reply wasn't wanted. Sorry to bother you.
  2. That's been our experience, also. We never encountered "arrival by 6pm". Also, the parks we volunteered didn't have that stipulation either.
  3. So it sounds like you're using a BP monitor at home. They can be unreliable. In our area there are public facilities that will take your BP free. Check some out. However, you still need to get to a doctor now that you have a bloody nose. When was the last time you went to a doctor? What was your BP at that time? I just wouldn't fool around with this. Yes, it could be your home monitor but why take a chance?
  4. You really need to see another doctor. That is serious blood pressure.
  5. Wildebill308: The Allegro Breeze bedroom slide that is being asked about. Yes, I know slides have been made way before that.
  6. I think I read that the bedroom slide didn't come out until 2017 so you'd probably have to go above your price range for that. That may also be when the washer/dryer became available. This may be sold but to give you an idea here's a 2012 for $140,000. For full-timing keep in mind the amount of storage space available. (not much) You're used to a 5th wheel's storage. https://www.rvtrader.com/listing/2012-Tiffin+Motorhomes-ALLEGRO+BREEZE+32BR-5019761358 Here's an owner's forum that may help you: https://www.google.com/search?q=breeze+31+br&x=0&y=0&sitesearch=irv2.com
  7. We used slide toppers for 16 years of full-timing. Wouldn't be without them. Never had any problems.
  8. Sorry for your losses. We were full-timing at that time but traveled and didn't stay at Kofa but a couple times. I'd suggest you contact Kofa and perhaps they can put it in their newsletter to have folks send you stories. That would be so cool! Enjoy that motorhome!!
  9. We used a product called The Solution waterless wash to clean the whole motorhome as traveling full-timers. No power washing. No hose washing. After 8 yr. the motorhome looked new! Sometimes we did a section while just sitting around the campsite. Day or two later maybe another section. So easy. Rain-X for the windshield. For the front in 'bug territory' we cleaned the windshield and front immediately after stopping for the day with a half bucket of water and a long squeegee. Bugs just slid off. Driving to Alaska it was sometimes necessary to clean the front a couple times while driving during the day. Have fun!
  10. Newspaper Rock on the road to Canyonlands Needles Unit is amazing. https://www.utahscanyoncountry.com/Newspaper-Rock-Recreation-Site
  11. These are the kinds of reports I was talking about with the long lines. Yes, it's not necessary for every instance of testing but I'm sure some Covid is being spread by those in these lines. https://www.abc10.com/article/news/health/coronavirus/covid-testing-demand/103-04aaa64d-263b-42df-8865-c47d26abd526
  12. Independence Rock was still there last year. 😁 Tours given and you can even climb it. https://wyoparks.wyo.gov/index.php/places-to-go/independence-rock
  13. If in the Phoenix area you really must visit this Musical Instrument Museum: http://mim.org/
  14. Good post. We also don't understand people standing in those long lines to get tested and possibly spreading it farther.
  15. I think you need to be honest with your employer from the start. Don't take off in a RV and tell them later. That said, many work from their RV. You might want to investigate this subgroup of the Escapees RV Club and subscribe to their newsletter. https://www.escapees.com/community/xscapers/
  16. I just did a quick Google and these and others appeared: https://rvshare.com/rv-storage/indiana/indianapolis https://indystore.net/indoor-storage-car-boat-rv/ https://www.guardianrvstorage.com/
  17. Well.... we boondocked and used public campgrounds almost solely with our 40' MH in the West & at beautiful spots along rivers and lakes. There is lots and lots of BLM and national forest land available. The Midwest? You'd have to work at finding the places by reading boondocking forums, talking to fellow campers and searching the internet. The Midwest doesn't have as much available public land as the West. In the Midwest and South we used public campgrounds... for a fee - state parks, national forest, county and city. Join the Escapees RV Club and you'd have access to Days End which lists many boondocking spots all over the country. Here is another site to explore: https://freecampsites.net/
  18. I just went to the Escapees site and got this contact information. Easy. https://www.escapees.com/about-escapees/contact-us/ You could also call and ask for one of these by name: https://www.escapees.com/meet-the-team/ Here's another phone # under FAQ for the mail service: https://www.escapees.com/mail-service/escapees-mail-service-faq/ I really don't know what else you want US to do. I'll add that we used them for over 20 years and only two problems.... with the U.S. Postal Service.
  19. I'd highly recommend that you move to each park and enjoy your days fully instead of driving. The best RV park for Bryce is Ruby's - at the park gate. The free shuttle stops right there. They have fuel, repairs, restaurants, laundry, etc. For Zion I recommend staying in Springdale and again, the free shuttle stops right there so you wouldn't have to worry about finding a parking space in the park itself - very limited. You can haul your RV between the two either via Bryce, north on 89, west on 20, south on I-15, east on Hwy 9 to Springdale. Or.... Bryce, south on 89 just across the border to Fredonia, AZ then 389 (which becomes UT59 to Hwy 9 at Hurricane then east to Springdale). The latter is a very pretty drive. If you stay around Mt. Carmel on 89 you'll have to contend with waiting in line at the park entrance and then finding parking places. The free shuttle doesn't run to Mt. Carmel - just Springdale. Don't take Hwy 14 between the two. You won't like it! Of course, both parks have campgrounds, also. Watchman is great for RVs and has electric, water fill & a dump station.
  20. I'd first recommend that you talk to your doctor. He may have recommendations. It might depend on what kind of allergies - food, environmental. As you travel you're going to be surrounded by different pollens. Perhaps if you get your doctor's OK you could carry your prescription and stop at an Urgent Care facility as you travel.
  21. We've tried Yosemite 2x and after the last vowed never again. We just can't deal with crowds like they have. Parking for a car is difficult to find. Trails are packed. Construction is always ongoing. If you've never been then definitely go but know you'll have crowds. Staying at the Escapees park in Coarsegold is a great option for day-tripping.
  22. Oops... I failed to give the link for setting up domicile in my above post. Thanks for following through Lou Schneider!
  23. I was able to order yesterday and got a confirmation.
  24. Here's a good write up on the process. Any questions, Call and they are very willing to help.
