  1. This topic is on Canada so that's what I assume you're asking...... You need to fill out information on this app & a link to the app is given here. Look under 'Proof of Vaccination'. https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/travel-restrictions/covid-vaccinated-travellers-entering-canada
  2. RV parking abuse has closed down Whitehorse's WalMart to overnighters. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/north/whitehorse-walmart-rv-camping-stops-1.4752667 https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/north/whitehorse-walmart-camping-parking-lot-1.5183815
  3. To me, that would contribute to losing parking privileges if people start going to their lots to do repairs.
  4. Yes, it's sad. I hope the right people read this.
  5. Escapee parks have let us do maintenance. Also, national forest campgrounds or boondocking on public lands.
  6. Drive down to Bainbridge Island, park the car and hop on the day ferry to the Seattle waterfront. It'll leave you off at the Aquarium/Pike's Market area. The Aquarium is nice. Walk a few blocks to get the monorail which will take you across the city to the World's Fair Space Needle. Take a ride to the top for a beautiful view of the waters, mountains and city. Take the monorail back to Pike's Market area and do some shopping then return to the ferry. It makes for a very nice day trip. Fort Worden used to have outside park concerts at lunch - free. Port Townsend also has a tiny aquarium area by the Fort Worden campground. You could also take the Coupeville ferry with your car from Port Townsend and drive up toward Anacortes... another nice day trip. Definitely drive up to Hurricane Ridge in Olympic Nat'l Park from Port Angeles ... more expansive views.
  7. Have you done a Google on them? Lots of ideas out there. Good way to look at specs. Do they plan to use it in the winter with kids in school? If typical family vacations you don't have to look for a 4-season. Here are a couple sites: https://www.generalrv.com/blog/12-must-see-bunkhouse-rv-floorplans/ https://camperguide.org/travel-trailers-with-bunk-beds/
  8. Most manufacturers have their own 'owner's forum'. Check them out for issues. Here is one for Redwood. There may be more. https://www.redwoodowners.com/forums/ Also look under 'Crossroads', the parent company of Redwood.
  9. Do you mean just anyone who's there to ask a question or a particular person? If a particular person try calling the park to see what information you can get. Information may be private.
  10. I've read that those cards given to us are now being forged. A new, safe way of tracking is needed. I took a photo of our cards for our phone just in case we're asked and we do have the hard copy.
  11. Sorry, I've never heard of it. Here's a link for others to see: https://www.crossroadsrv.com/products/redwood-rv/redwood/floorplans/rw3981fk/ Just a quick look at the spec and I see the holding tanks are small for this size RV. It's a very heavy RV so you'll probably need a HDT to pull it and I wouldn't want to sitesee and shop using the HDT. If this is your first RV I'd recommend to look at a smaller unit...... just my thoughts.

  13. In our area we have multiple 'community' classes. Even the library has one. They are free or low cost compared to a store-front business. When you move to a new town call the Chamber of Commerce to see if there's one in the area. If you stay in RV parks with a clubhouse they sometimes offer classes. Some Escapees parks do.
  14. It doesn't have to be a RV repair. When we had a travel trailer years ago we were traveling across Canada and were in the boonies when a spring broke. No cell phones at that time. A passerby stopped and he said he would let the local garage know. This was on a Sunday. As it turned out the garage was closed but the passerby knew who owned it and went to their house. Their two teens drove to us & fixed ours good enough to get us to the garage where it was then repaired that day. Garages out in the boonies are relied upon by farmers and other heavy-duty businesses. They are very adept at fixing things.
  15. That sounds like it might be a SKP member since he knows about 'membership'/expirations.
  16. May in Michigan could be wet and cool with mosquitoes depending where you're going. Then again, you could have nice weather. You know how much you can count on weather! We lived there. https://www.weather.gov/dtx/DTW_May_rec
  17. This is so childish!!! Just like the teacher used to put a star on our papers. If you go to your Profile and run the cursor over the badges that appear you can see what they mean.... such as .... Conversation Starter, Dedicated, First Post (even though I've been here since 2003), Collaborator, Posting Machine.... and more. Who in the heck cares? I surely don't & I don't pay attention to the badges earned by others. I just noticed this because just now I made a new topic. I immediately got a notification for it and it took me to my Profile Page. This is another social media come on.

  19. We used Miller. They'll look around for the cheapest rates. They are well acquainted with full-timers. We had them re-look about every 2 years. Insurance fluctuates. http://www.millerrvinsurance.com/
  20. It's an absolutely beautiful drive especially in Fall with the aspen colors. From Buena Vista you'll have mostly 5-6% grades but a few short sections up to 10%. You're going over the Continental Divide and the Pass is at 12,126' EL. We've stayed at the Taylor Park national forest campground overlooking the lake - very nice. I'd recommend driving it in the morning. Mountain rain storms happen just about every afternoon in the West. For reference, Buena Vista is 7965' EL so you'll have 4,161' to climb. An easier way to Taylor Park is to take Hwy 50 to Gunnison and Taylor Reservoir is 28 mi. from there. You'll come to a tiny town of Almont at 8,022' EL and head to Taylor Park along the fast-flowing Taylor River. Fishing is excellent there & also at Taylor. There are a few national forest campgrounds from Almont up to Taylor Park. Taylor Park is at 9300' EL. so it's not a big climb. We drove from Almont to Taylor Park - where we've always stayed a half-dozen times with our 40' motorhome pulling the Jeep. We drove the Jeep to Buena Vista from Taylor Park when Cottonwood Pass was still 1/2 gravel. It's newly paved all the way now and in excellent condition. You can easily do a day trip to Crested Butte - a pleasant little town. Mt. Evans paved highway is 14,130' Pikes Peak paved highway is 14,115' Cottonwood paved highway is 12,126' Trail Ridge Rd. (Rocky Mtn. Nat'l Park) is 12,183' Independence Pass paved highway is 12,095' Monarch Pass on Hwy 50 is paved 11,312' .... westbound - 6% downhill for 9 miles.... get into low gear before even beginning the downhill so you don't have to use your vehicle brakes much. Since we love Colorado so much and had a Jeep I think we drove just about every paved and unpaved road in Colorado! Enjoy!!
  21. That's awful. Amazingly, seems like no one was killed. Perhaps they had enough warning to seek shelter.
  22. Winters in southern New Mexico are cold. We tried it!
  23. Kirk, it's possible to be close to $2,000, especially if you have the RV paid for. Month to Month there may be differences but overall it's pretty close.
  24. Not sure what you mean about 'numbers'. On Ray's post I see the eagle.
