  1. Here's interesting budgets: https://whereyoumakeit.com/rv/rv-living-cost/ https://xscapers.com/budget-for-rv-life/ Everyone is different so shifting amounts between categories will be necessary.
  2. Happy Birthday and a little history: https://www.nationalgeographic.com/history/article/canada-day-marks-country-birth-not-independence
  3. Those planning to be there in the next days should monitor the park's website and make sure your campground is still available - Springdale got hit hard. For those that aren't aware, flash floods are common in the Southwest. It can be sunny where you are but 30 miles away it may have heavy rain. The soil can't absorb the water fast so it just runs out of control. Zion's Narrows 'river walk' is very dangerous when this happens. Slot canyons are also dangerous during these times. In 1997 during an Antelope Canyon tour at Page, AZ a flood came through and killed 11 people with 1 survivor. Remember.... canyons are carved out of water. Monitor the weather closely including the surrounding area. https://www.nps.gov/zion/learn/news/zion-national-park-continues-clean-up-after-flash-flood.htm
  4. I think I read you're now in Clarksville, TN. Here's where you can get your vaccination.... sure hope you can work it in! πŸ˜ƒ https://www.solvhealth.com/tn/c/clarksville-tn-srv-covid-vaccine
  5. Wow! Grocery stores administer it along with drug stores. Not convenient?
  6. This comment is really uncalled for!!!
  7. Wow! I just got a congratulations message that my rank was changed to 'Rookie'. I've been on here sine 2003!! This nonsense has got to go. Who cares?
  8. I also get those messages and I think it's important that everyone post reviews...not only bad ones but also good ones. If people doing their planning would explore the various review sites it would be very helpful for them.
  9. These 'badges' are ridiculous..... just like little kids getting a sticker!!
  10. Call the RV FLILTER STORE. They are very helpful on the phone.
  11. Honestly, I never even glance at post counts.
  12. The UFO's have zeroed in on you.... time to move!
  13. In all our travels full-time with our 40' motorhome and also our 5th wheel we never used any kind of app for that purpose and absolutely never had any issues with tunnels or bridges and we traveled secondary roads all the time. For mountain driving I highly recommend getting the 'Mountain Directory for Truckers and RVers'. It comes in western and eastern editions. It gives an very detailed description of the roads. If a road is described that doesn't mean you shouldn't drive it. We always used it as a 'heads up' of what we can expect and we always referred to it when driving the road again just to refresh our memory.
  14. He wants Massachusetts; not Missouri. 😁
  15. I'll second Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. It's an awesome facility in a beautiful outdoor setting. Kanab, Utah
  16. We always drove to see the family although there were times when they flew to us and together, we toured a specific area or park. They were in Michigan, Ohio, Texas and Arizona and we were all over the place. We refuse to fly anymore.
  17. He didn't stay inside. He slept outside. Here's a more detailed article: https://www.durangoherald.com/articles/rv-is-free-after-spending-a-week-stuck-on-lime-creek-road/
  18. He stated he wanted the car attached thinking it would stabilize the motorhome. We've driven that road doing geocaches. It's narrow right at the beginning and he went farther? He was from Colorado so he should know about the state's back roads and check it out first.
  19. No see-ums are very tiny and seem to fly constantly. You can rarely even swat them since they're so fast. They're also call gnats, sand flies, biting midges and love water areas... beaches, etc. https://mosquitonix.com/blogs/news/how-to-treat-no-see-um-bites
  20. I think maybe you meant oversight? 😁
  21. Same here. It makes a microwave so versatile.
