  1. The problem with lack of helpful responses may be because this was originally posted in the full-timer's section. Full-timers don't typically travel such big distances in a short period of time. I don't know if it's possible for his post to be moved to a more appropriate section or not.
  2. The best thing to do is to put your bills on AutoPay through the company. Then they're paid automatically thru whichever method you choose.... credit card, checking account. Then you don't have to worry about paying manually or using a computer/phone. You don't have to think about it ever. They'll be paid. The companies will have the option when you set it up to send you a text or email when the bill is paid. It really is super easy. We've been doing it for years without any problems. You can set them up right now from your home before you begin traveling. It's not just for travelers. Many, many households have their bills paid this way nowadays. When you return home just keep it set up, as is. You'll love the ease of it!!

  5. He did say coast to coast this summer....
  6. That's a huge undertaking for just a short time. You're going to miss so much if only doing straight lines and interstates. I hope you're not planning to make reservations for the whole trip. If something goes wrong it will be hard to stay on schedule. I really don't think many do a trip like that in only one summer. This site is as good as any to get fellow travelers. I hope someone is able to do it with you. Best of luck! I notice this is posted in the full-time section. If you're a full-timer, why do this in one summer? Many full-timers travel slowly and only do a section of the country in one season.
  7. There is very nice camping if you take 67 south to DeMotte national forest campground (which is nice, also) and then take 22/222 to Fire Point. We drove it in the Jeep and a truck camper would be able to do it. Beautiful rim view. The road was in very good condition but it's narrow for a bigger RV. That area has some very nice boondocking spots.
  8. I hope you'd have a choice. As of now you'll go where they have room for you.
  9. That's a shame for Gros Ventre and Colter Bay campgrounds.
  10. Since AZ and CA hospitals are near full it's best to stay healthy at Quartzsite and not have any other emergencies.
  11. Might begin on Jan 11. https://www.yumacountyaz.gov/Home/Components/News/News/4964/27?backlist=%2Fhome
  12. They can't tell you when they're going to start until they finish or just about finish with the previous group and they'll need to have more vaccines on hand.
  13. I ordered an item via Amazon and received a UPS tracking #. However, when I tried to track it constantly all it gave me was that a label was created on that first day. Eight days later it arrived and there was never any tracking of it.
  14. I would assume that you can't sign up for an appointment until they're finished with the group before you and they know, more definitely, when they can begin your group.
  15. So I read that as saying you can't get an appointment yet unless you're in the 1A group. That's why you not seeing any times available for you. They don't know how long 1A will last before opening up 1B. Doesn't a Medicare Advantage plan cover the basic Medicare coverages? We have the basic Medicare so I'm not sure. Do you have to pay for a flu shot?
  16. This answers most questions, including cost. It is free to everyone but administration fees may occur. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/faq.html
  17. This gives the updated restrictions for entering Mexico. Travel is for essential only; not tourists. The opening date and restrictions has changed a few times over the past months so always check a government source right before traveling. The issue is also returning to the U.S. as there may be restrictions. Canada/U.S. has restrictions, also. https://mx.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/covid-19-information/
  18. Pima County, AZ hasn't set up reservations yet. I just tried the AZ website that you used to set up an appt. & like you, no dates are available. Perhaps that's the reason you can't select a date. Yuma Co. might not have it set up yet for other than the first group of essential workers. Also, it asks for insurance info but you can just select Medicare, if that's what you have. It accepted that for me. The other options are Medicaid and personal. Are you trying to enter something other than Medicare?
  19. Every country has a website stating their regulations. It's easy just to Google for it instead of relying on word of mouth. Things change constantly.
  20. Each state/county is allotted an amount of doses of the vaccine depending on population. They don't take into account visitors. There just isn't an excess amount of vaccine available yet. That may come mid-summer.
  21. It's too early to get a 'feeling' of how many will be at Quartzsite. The RV Show is a main draw & it's two weeks away. Boondocking in the area is easily done during Covid; not the RV show.
  22. The Show goes on... unfortunately. It's going to be a mass spreader. Note there's a 'clicky' for COVID requirements. https://www.quartzsitervshow.com/attendee-info
