  1. This is where Mexico stands vs. U.S. We're still #1!!!! https://virusncov.com/
  2. Do you know that you can do AutoPay of your credit card (& most bills, nowadays) so there are no chances of late fees? We rarely use cash or check for anything. Everything is done via credit card or AutoPay through our bank account. You can find a credit card that gives you cash back so you're really earning money by using a credit card.... IF you pay it off fully each month, as we do.
  3. Water is easier to get most of the time. Of course, you'll need a dump station and that's harder to find a FREE one. Many RV parks will allow you to use the dump station for a FEE. Here's a good site for locating both: https://www.sanidumps.com/find.php According to the web site you can dump at Galveston State Park for $5. Water is most likely free. For dumping free - use the wastewater treatment facility in Texas City Depending how long your grey water/black water tanks last some may spend a night in a RV park or public park and dump and fill with water & sometimes do their laundry, vacuum, etc.
  4. Do your windows seem to be sealed tight. Do you notice a lot of dirt in your window 's ledge? Of course, this is winter but when it's warm do you leave your windows open wide on a windy day? Doing this in the desert will bring in a lot of dust. Doing it in a forest in spring will bring in lots of pollen. I've got a feeling it's the cats that's creating the stuff. Or perhaps you're much more particular than we are! ๐Ÿ˜
  5. Looks like a nice RV but needs better decorating ideas. Perhaps it's the blue and grey but it just doesn't seem to be a 'warm, inviting' home. Also, the square-armed contemporary sofa doesn't go with the oversized big-armed recliners. What is the purpose of the wood divider with cubby holes? Unless things are anchored down they're not going to stay during travel. It just looks like a haphazard piece of wood. I like the desk area though.
  6. Really. Is this the best you can talk about on Christmas Day?๐Ÿ™„
  7. During the day move the mattress out from the wall a few inches to let it and the wall dry out. Your breath during the night causes condensation. Crack the closets and keep clothes away from walls. Everything needs to breath. Keep the vents open slightly; especially the bathroom. Showers create lots of humidity. Keep a kitchen window cracked as making coffee and cooking creates humidity.
  8. I believe it's free. https://www.cnet.com/health/covid-19-vaccine-facts-moderna-approved-hidden-costs-when-you-can-get-vaccinated/
  9. https://www.ocregister.com/2020/12/10/some-orange-county-ambulances-with-patients-are-waiting-hours/ https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/news/health/story/2020-12-15/governor-says-covid-19-deaths-have-activated-a-grim-supply-chain Bodies are cremated; no funerals. Non-believers amaze me with their thinking.
  10. Sounds like you're working so much that you don't have a chance to inquire about others. We now have three very good friends who have died this past month from COVID; one in Michigan; two in Arizona. It's real. Having your head in the sand doesn't help.
  11. We sold our motorhome within a month through: https://www.pplmotorhomes.com/
  12. For 2021 there are: 4 luxury models 4 diesels 2 gas 2 Super C https://www.newmarcorp.com/shopping-tools/compare-motorcoaches/ Folks tend to keep their diesels longer so if you're seeing more used gas for sale that may be a reason. Plus, those with gas would also upgrade to diesel and their gas would be for sale. Is this what you mean? Regardless, it doesn't mean much to us as the price of diesel motorhomes is out of our reach nowadays... any model. Our 2004 Dutch Star diesel was special-ordered new with over 100 customs added for $150,000. Today, a Dutch Star starts out at $395,000 not including any customs. Gas models are way up there, also. Way too much to spend on a RV!!
  13. Newmar wasn't affected by Winnebago's takeover and Tiffin probably won't either. They won't want to mess around with their standing in the RV world. Newmar is still the same. Nothing has changed.
  14. We've had a diesel truck and motorhome. No issues. Regular maintenance. Fuel at busy stations.
  15. What talent!! https://medina-gazette.com/news/245080/local-couple-wins-gingerbread-competition/
  16. I sent some packages via UPS ground on Monday and they were received on Tuesday at 6pm. I ordered printer cartridges to be shipped by USPS and it took 12 days from their shipping date.
  17. OP: You might want to consider moving closer to Progresso either now or later during your stay. Dental is considered essential at the Mexican border.... or it was a couple months ago.... and walking across the border there is simple. Hundreds of Americans do it daily.
  18. Cross over to Progresso Mexico. Excellent dentists. It's been too long ago for me to give up-to-date information. Ask for recommendations where you're staying.
  19. You obviously don't know what's involved with approving drugs. They got this out in unbelievable time.... usually takes years. I'm sure they put in many extra hours!!! I worked with FDA data at a pharmaceutical company. You don't have a clue so don't post misinformation! Here's an example of typical timelines. There's lots more information out there if you choose to know the particulars. https://www.hackensackmeridianhealth.org/HealthU/2020/12/09/behind-the-covid-19-vaccine-approval-process/ Actually, this process did start years ago because of new techniques. https://www.tampabay.com/news/health/2020/12/07/how-did-we-get-a-coronavirus-vaccine-so-fast-years-of-research/
  20. Unfortunately, you didn't capture the full description of the topics. .... "But not all those products undergo premarket approval โ€” that is, a review of safety and effectiveness by FDA experts and agency approval before a product can be marketed. In some cases, FDAโ€™s enforcement efforts focus on products after they are already for sale." .... "Although FDA does not have premarket approval of food products, it has the authority to approve certain ingredients before they are used in foods. Those include food additives, such as substances added intentionally to food, and color additives...." .... "Cosmetic products and ingredients, and their labeling, do not require FDA approval before they go on the market. Thereโ€™s one exception: color additives (other than coal-tar hair dyes). .... "Unlike new drugs, dietary supplements are not reviewed and approved by FDA based on their safety and effectiveness." .... "Structure-function claims on dietary supplements carry a disclaimer stating that the claim has not been reviewed by FDA, and that the product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease." Here is the complete article: https://www.fda.gov/consumers/consumer-updates/it-really-fda-approved
  21. The FDA has nothing to do with home remedies and supplements.
