  1. Interesting article on tests and timelines: https://www.cnn.com/2020/11/16/health/thanksgiving-family-covid-testing-wellness/index.html
  2. ... and the transporter would be using your RV if an overnight would be needed? 😳
  3. Storage requirements for the COVID vaccine: https://abcnews.go.com/Health/reality-pfizers-covid-19-vaccine-distribution-plan/story?id=74183968
  4. I get my mountain drive information from the 'Mountain Directory West for RVers and Truckers' before driving new-to-us roads. This is the first sentence for the description of Hwy 36 "This road was designed by mad scientists to see if they could make drivers go insane". Also, "This road should be near the bottom of the list". Take Hwy 20 inistead.
  5. Sounds like from Redding you plan to drive Hwy 299 to Hwy 101. This drive is much worse - 7% & 8% grades & many curves - rather than 6% Siskiyou Pass.
  6. We chose the queen. A king is 76" wide vs a queen which is 60" wide. That means there is 8" more space/person for a king. However, the queen gave us more room to walk around the bed and cabinets on both sides and the sheets were easier to change.
  7. Veronica, don't do anything that's unsafe. At least try to drive 50 mph; not 45. Wait for a good, solid wide pull-off or a business. Yes, some behind you may get irritated but they won't have to wait long, I'm sure. Some will understand.
  8. I can't recall her name right now but another newbie was doing a maiden voyage from the midwest to California and everyone guided her during the trip. She did just fine. There were many posts on her trip. She also had the tow/haul mode on her small motorhome. Perhaps someone can come up with her recent posts during the trip as this might help Veronica with hers.
  9. Luckily, Pfizer plans to be the distributor; not the government. https://www.fiercepharma.com/pharma/pfizer-sidelines-us-government-covid-19-vaccine-distribution-plan-favor-its-own-reports
  10. Don't settle on a route until the day before when you can pretty much count on the weather report. If it's nice go up I-5; if not, take 20 over to 101. Same for your return. With a 25' RV you'll have no issue on 101. Just plan extra time if you've never driven a RV. You will not.... or shouldn't .... be driving the speed that you drive with a car. Take it easy and you'll enjoy the trip!
  11. Having volunteered there the damage by the recent fires breaks our hearts. . lots of historical treasures destroyed. https://www.nationalparkstraveler.org/2020/11/rocky-mountain-national-park-staff-assessing-wildfire-losses
  12. I agree. It's too early to make guesses or plans. However, I would think any doctor or suitable medical personnel could vaccinate as you travel. Perhaps even a pharmacy eventually like that of vaccines currently. OP... your question is not one I would ponder over. Make your plans as usual.
  13. Everything is not open in Big Bend; including backcountry sites. For national parks it's best to go to their individual websites for accurate up-to-date information.
  14. When you stated you're switching from a United Healthcare plan to another it sounded like you were talking about your supplement policy. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
  15. We also full-timed 16 years and got our water from many different sources as we used public parks or boondocked the majority of the time. We used the water from the tank for all our needs... drinking, cooking, etc. No problems. No sanitizing the tank. We did use good filters for the water coming into our tank and we had a kitchen filter for taste. We volunteered in public parks and know that they have their systems checked regularly by proper authorities. They wouldn't risk the general public getting sick from their water system.
  16. Why not just get a better stand-alone prescription plan? Or do you have an Advantage plan?
  17. RV Miles is one that I would never watch... tried it once and was enough for me.
  18. Our AZ tracking even gives all the elections we've voted in the past.
  19. I remember listening in on neighbor's phone conversations. The good ole' days!
  20. It would be difficult in a RV if one has the virus and the other doesn't. You'd be sharing the bathroom.
  21. I think all states offer the ability to check that your ballot was received.
  22. Sorry to hear that. Our PressurePro's on our motorhome and our car were good for 8 yr.
  23. Get the zip code of Charleston and enter it in this site for information: https://www.cnn.com/resources/coronavirus-information
  24. It's a beautiful park with lots of birds and other critters around in the desert.... one of our favorites!
