  1. Part D needs a complete overhaul. It was an abomination when first enacted and it hasn’t improved over the years. Needs to be redone from the ground up.
  2. One of the reasons we love being in Arizona when the time change occurs around the country - no time changing here. We do have one clock/radio that somewhere has a code line for time change and I haven't figured out how to get rid of that, but that's the only one. Only affect here is that the times for TV programs that synch with New York change, but we're retired and flexible.
  3. Lots of people use Escapess for short term. Except for annual cost, you only get charged when you order mail forwarded. Get it set up, have mail forded to it while you travel, get mail sent to you once or twice, then go home, get final shipment, then it is on hold until you travel again. Why not give them a call and discuss options with them.
  4. No crank, just click once to get the operator.
  5. Yes, I am. It was 1950-1951 and I was in Kindergarten - the year that I had mumps, measles, chickenpox, and German measles, as did my best friend who lived across the alley from us. Our mothers would help us call each other, standing in the window waving at each other, while we were sick. That was also the same year that my uncle, who worked for my dad, was knocked off a log tow and drowned, my dad was blown about 30 feet into the air when one of the tug boats blew up (burned pretty badly) and my mom had a miscarriage. All in all, the year from hell and made quite and impression on a 5 yr old.
  6. The pulse oximeter is a good thing to have, not just because of the virus, but because as we all age our lungs become less elastic and often subtle changes in how well the lungs are working will show up in the pO2 level (oxygen level). One of the tell-tale signs for a lot of Covid patients has been O2 levels that are way down but they feel fine - until the point that they are almost dead. And if you have any heart condition, they are just another tool that help you monitor how well you are doing. I figure that if one of us gets it, both of us will have it. So we approach everything that way. With Dave's heart/kidney conditions, he only goes to medical appointments. Very, very seldom do I do in store shopping - mainly just pickup and when available, I use curbside pickup where they bring the already paid for merchandise out to the car.
  7. The first telephone we had HAD NO DIAL. You just picked up the receiver and told the operator who you were calling.
  8. The login name and password can be used UNLESS the system uses two factor log in and you have set it up for email not text to get the code. Which is why we always use text as our numbers haven’t change in 17 years.
  9. Like you we are required to use Express Scripts by our insurance company, though this next year we can also use Walgreens at the same price for 90 days. We always use Walgreens for Dave's insulin, even though Express Scripts does have shipping service for it - - just not a good thing for when you are staying out in the 'bonnies'. Also use Walgreens for any short term scripts or new ones to see if they work, then transfer them to Express Script if they become maintenance ones.
  10. Why would people have trouble filling their prescriptions if they use one of the nationwide pharmacy or mail pharmacy and order on line? As to updating addresses, just log in and edit addresses and telephone numbers, assuming you have set up online accounts. We've been doing that since 2001 when we first started with Express Scripts. Haven't been handed a script in years to go in and fill - they physicians do the ordering online as we are going over our medication lists and needed refills.
  11. I had Wal-Mart refuse to take my credit card for a pickup order because they said the Livingston address was invalid. I even copied directly from the USPS website and still came back invalid. I can walk in and use that same card at their stores (which I refuse to do) but to do a pickup, whatever reference database they are tied into says it is invalid. Had the same problem with loading my Starbucks card from one particular card. Turns out I had a period after Dr and the credit card address didn't have the period. When I took the period out, everything worked fine. Yes, databases are that literal.
  12. Yup - fat fingers and iPad auto-correct strikes again - argh! Yes, it is 77399 followed by the appropriate four digits.
  13. Babalou Make sure there is no period after Dr and use 799-1084 for the zip code.
  14. Actually, you can usually get a new card sent to a branch bank near you, at least you can for BOA. Had a BOA card compromised in Maine. We were in Nova Scotia when I was notified about it. Contacted BOA, explained where we were, a new card was waiting for us in Bangor when we came back across. Just had to show ID, etc. Had our passports, or DL and our debit card with picture on it - fellow at the bank said, yes it is definitely you! 😎
  15. Go into the Post Office, get the forms and fill them out and hand them in. Yes, it is a pain in the butt, but it will get it done.
  16. You just described our life here in the Mesa area. Only other place we go are physicians offices because Dave had quad bypass with complications last spring. Both Fry’s (Kroger) and Safeway don’t charge for pickup during the pandemic. Also grocery stores here open at 6:00 am so I go to Sprouts for a couple it items every other month at that time. Go to Post Office on weekends early in the morning and use kiosks. Even Costco has delivery and in Mesa does curbside pickup now.
  17. It is cool now. The 119° this summer, now that was HOT🔥🔥🔥🔥
  18. Val Vista Villages in Mesa.
  19. Where in So Cal? Our park in Arizona will have a lot of empty RV sites since no Canadians coming down. BUT those will not be put up until their reservations are cancelled. So it will be a wait and see.
  20. To slow the spread mean some things are changed so more do not die. Closing bars lowers transmission as has been shown time and time again. Bars induce relaxed behaviors that lead to ignoring social distancing, wearing of masks, etc. thus more people are infected and go on to infect others. I feel sorry for bar owners who lose their business, as I do for all small businesses who are failing. But there are so many people dying that we can’t do nothing.
  21. Oh we have windshield sticker without the inspection, because we are out-of-state.
  22. I bet the rule was for all temporary housing. Regulators have no idea how people in RVs spend their time.
  23. Actually, more and more research suggests that it should be 9 to 12 feet since the transmission can be aerosolized.
  24. Actually the question asked was "Has anyone had similar issues?" And the answers given were appropriate. Most people have not, and then they expanded by saying what, if any problems, they had had and how they go about ordering mail, etc. Have you called Escapees and ask for the mail supervisor? You do know that they don't read the forum, correct? So asking questions here in hopes of them seeing it, etc., isn't going to happen. Since so few of us have had problems, that really is the only way to alert them as to what happened and insure that it doesn't happen again. Also, I would hazard a guess that they were rather busy last week getting all of the ballots sent out as quickly as possible.
  25. Linda, since so few of us have had problems, I think answers were what would be expected.
