  1. Just wait for the sun to hit the tires Steve and then hurry on down south here and you won't have to worry about it.
  2. We spent the last week in Kanab Utah but will be lifting our jack this morning and moving an entire 75 miles!! I may need to stop along the way and take a STEEEVE!!
  3. That could have been real bad Lee. You were lucky.
  4. We have been getting some rain here in Kanab Utah the last couple days. To be honest it feels pretty good after spending some pretty warm months doing a bunch of hiking in National Parks. Should clear up tomorrow so I'm headed to the Visitor Center to get in the lottery for a hike to the Wave tomorrow. We will be leaving Kanab Friday and traveling a whole 75 miles to Lake Powell to spend a few days.
  5. Well we hope all you people on the East Coast stay as dry as possible. But we know you all know you are mobile and have no reason or excuse to stay in harms way of something so well announced. Been dry and warm here in Zion National Park for our weeks stay. We will be lifting our jacks and making another move tomorrow, still in Utah but getting close to dropping into Arizona.
  6. I think it will take another year or two for the taste of Florida to fade away enough to allow us to head there again LOL!! But some day.
  7. All of you crazy Florida goers can still make a right turn and head west.
  8. Diane and I were sitting outside this evening and I told her about the Eclipse tomorrow night and her response was a somewhat sarcastic (REALLY). I said yes really and her replay was another (really) that didn't sound like she thought I knew what I was talking about. So I said YES REALLY.... Lee said so. All of a sudden her replay was (Oh Really) in a big upbeat positive manner LOL!!! You would have had to been there to get the full feel but it was funny as heck. It was like as soon as it came out of your mouth it became believable LOL!!! It must have been that star gazing session you had with her in Q last winter.
  9. Keep your chin up Roger, You have options, maybe all the bugs are about worked out (sort of like the checks in the mail) or maybe it's time to kick that rig to the curb. Maybe a 5th wheel this time?? Another Red Rooster??
  10. This is our last day in Bryce, we will be moving on to Zion tomorrow. We will miss the cooler temps, it's been almost perfect with temps in the 70's mainly here but I know it won't be that way in Zion. Then we need to start dragging our feet a little.
  11. Congrats on reaching 4 years!! And good luck finding utopia, the thing we are all searching for. Have a great time Savannah!!
  12. Yup, we found the little store AND those pie's!!! The orchards are pretty cool, U-pick for $1 a pound. We are not saying at the campground in the NP but one in Torrey. We will head back in for more hiking today.
  13. We have spent the last 2 weeks in Moab hiking in 90 degree temps but mad a move to Torrey Utah by Capital Reef NP yesterday. It figures that it had been dry and hot until our move day and then it got wet LOL!! It's a lot cooler here, in fact I turned on the heated floors last night and listened to the toppers flap in the wind all night. First time we felt like winter is around the corner but I like it. 5 days here and then on to Bryce for 5 days then Zion for a week. We need to start dragging our feet or we will be down south to soon in the heat again.
  14. We rolled from Park City Utah to Moab today. What a difference 3000ft elevation change makes in the temps. But It's pretty here and we will be hanging around for 2 weeks. A little spendy but it will be a great place to spend Diane's Birthday and our Anniversary. Between Park City and here we better find some boondocking soon to recover LOL!!
  15. From the looks of the map some of the Florida group is starting to gather early.
  16. We have sort of been on the move, Left Portland and visited with friends in the Bend area for 8 days before driving to John Day Oregon for 3 nights at a nice little state park. Then moved into Idaho and stayed in Caldwell for 3 nights. We are working our way to Park City Utah and it was 400 miles from Caldwell so we split it pretty much in half and drove to Declo Idaho yesterday and spent the night and will drive the rest of the way to Park City today. Not sure why the heck we are headed to Utah so early because it's still pretty hot. Just figured when we made our reservations in Moab 3 or 4 months ago that it would start cooling down in Sept.,,,, may not LOL!!
  17. LOL,, I thought I saw the whites of there eye's today so we used a little of the extra powder, but we saved a little powder just in case we see white again LOL!!
  18. We are dang happy to hear you have broken (ooops should not have used that word) away from Elkhart!!! Now go get um road warrior!!
  19. We were sitting outside watching TV about 11 and happened to look up and saw a meteor. So we turned off the TV and put out the fire (Fire in a can) and watched a bit longer and saw just one more before calling it a night.
  20. Sounds like most everyone has projects of one kind or another going one in one place or another. Sounds like a lot of hunkerin down busy times this summer.
  21. Hey Congrats!!! More spare time. So did you Rope Steve I Dianne into taking over!!?? Ok, I can wait for the campfire story I guess.
  22. We loved the City of Rocks. We camped up on the backside of Pegasus for about a week 2 years ago. We certainly would stop back in if in the area. And a nice sky viewing gatherings as well. Have fun Lee!!
  23. Nope, it was a tough go for a bit but compared to 2 1/2 weeks ago I'm doing great!!
  24. We just rolled in yesterday, Diane is going over tomorrow to help start going through her cloths & stuff and her brother is at the coast until Friday so the real fun will start this weekend. And you certainly have a way of putting things in perspective mentioning your own issues. NO CONTENDING WITH THAT. We maybe we contended a year ago in Florida None the less I'll stop complaining knowing you are going through far worse than me right now.
