Dutch_12078
I just watched a SpaceX Falcon 9 launch live on the Science Channel, and the reusable first stage was landed perfectly on their drone ship. That's their 25th successful first stage recovery, and the 14th on a ship. I don't think I'd call it "routine" yet, but they're sure getting closer to it! This was the first launch of the most powerful Falcon 9 to date: https://www.theverge.com/2018/5/11/17341452/spacex-falcon-9-block-5-launch-landing-success Dutch 2001 GBM Landau 34' Class A F-53 Chassis, Triton V10, TST TPMS 2011 Toyota RAV4 4WD/Remco pump ReadyBrute Elite tow bar/brake system
Al F
AND this is a stage 1 rocket booster designed to be turned around for reuse in 24 hours, up to 10 times. Maybe even more than 10 times with more extensive refurbishing. RV_
Amen Dutch! I missed that as we are having a moving sale tomorrow and we have at least two more to do. I haven't been online all day and have to hit the rack. Thanks for the update. I'm looking forward to Space X 's IPO! Dutch_12078
I would have missed it too, but I happened to be watching a Science Channel program at the time, and they broke in to show the launch and first stage recovery. Glad they did!
