SuiteSuccess
Need to spend several hours under the truck to do some snooping for a suspension air leak. My suspension will go down during that time period and to be quite honest makes it difficult to get my arthritic, fat body under there. Am I doing any harm by putting a couple of jack stands under the bed or frame to keep it higher? Normally when I’ve seen my truck jacked up it’s under the axles. 2006 Volvo 780 "Hoss" Volvo D12, 465hp, 1650 ft/lbs tq., ultrashift Bed Build by "JW Morgan's Custom Welding" 2017 DRV 39DBRS3 2013 Smart Passion Coupe "Itty Bitty" "Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. Darryl&Rita
Only damage to the bed will happen if you use a point that's not strong enough to support the weight. Drive the rears (or both) up on some planks first, too. Sometimes the extra height is just what the Dr. ordered. I have been wrong before, I'll probably be wrong again. 2000 Kenworth T 2000 w/N-14 and 10 speed Gen1 Autoshift, deck built by Star Fabrication 2006 smart fourtwo cdi cabriolet 2007 32.5' Fleetwood QuantumPlease e-mail us here. Parrformance
I made a connector to isolate the rear bags, and used a quick connect to be able to air up the rear bags only. Bought a bottle of Kid's bubble stuff and put it in a squirt bottle,. Found the big leaks first, then started chasing the little leaks. I am close to three days with air in the rear bags, used to deflate within the hour that I would stop for lunch on the road. Did you order all the o-rings? Some thread paste is nice for the fittings as well. Easier to apply than tape. 2006 Volvo VNL 780, " Arvey" Volvo D12, 465hp, 1650 ft/lbs tq., ultrashift 2003 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 2010 Forest River Coachman Freedom Express 280RLS Jackalopee

Chad Heiser
I just drive mine up on planks as suggested above when I want to work under it. Then it doesn't matter if the suspension is inflated or deflated, I still have room to move around. 2009 Volvo 670 with dinette/workstation sleeper - Walter 2017 DRV Mobile Suite 40KSSB4 with factory mods, dealer mods and personal mods - now in the RV graveyard 2022 DRV Full House MX450 with customized floor plan 2018 Polaris RZR Turbo S (fits in the garage) 2016 Smart Car (fits in the garage or gets flat towed behind the DRV when the RZR is in the garage) My First Solar Install Thread My Second Solar Install Thread & Photos and Documents Related to the build My MX450's solar, battery and inverter system - my biggest system yet! chadheiser.com West Coast HDT Rally Website

noteven
You can support a aytch dee tee right on the ends of the frame. "Are we there yet?" asked no motorcycle rider, ever.
Lance A Lott
If you slip a harwood block between the top of the axle and the frame it will stay up. You will have to air up to get them out. I think you could make the blocks out of plywood layered up to the appropriate thickness. Put a rope on them and you wont have to get under to retrieve them. GeorgiaHybrid
LOL, Carl my hearing is gone from shooting too much in my younger days without proper hearing protection and listening to ZZ Top, Steppenwolf, CCR, 3 Dog Night and a lot of others at concerts and yes, on my 8 track. 2023 Thor Magnitude XG32

ThelazyFarmer
I have a pair of 20 ton jack stands I put under the frame. I set them where I want them then then when the air leaks off it stays in place. Unless we are doing some major repairs it is just easier to drive up onto some blocks. CHIEFWAHO
I've been kicking around making a receiver hitch bracket with a sidewinder style jack attached to it. I'd be able to slip it in receiver hitch to keep the bed up when parked for extended periods of time. 1999 Volvo VNL610, Cummins M11 - 350/400 HP, 10 speed Rockwell - 'CHIEF' Custom flatbed with TrailerSaver air hitch. 3 cyl 8000 watt Kubota diesel generator. usbusin
From your thread title "Jack Stands Under the Bed?" you had me wondering. Did you gain too much weight and you needed supports under the bed in your sleeper cab?
