RV_
Happy Birthaversary! I fly the Thirteen stars flag, top quality all cotton 3X5, on one side of our front deck and today's flag on the other side. Nice contrast. My current 3X5 flag flew over the Capitol and was presented to me on retirement in a shadow box. I think it does more flying than stuck away in a box on a wall. It seems lots of folks think flying a 13 star or 48 star flag is illegal, when quite the opposite is true: https://www.usflagdepot.com/store/page8.html RV/Derekhttp://www.rvroadie.com Email on the bottom of my website page.Retired AF 1971-1998 When you see a worthy man, endeavor to emulate him. j2catfish
Flag Day is always a good time to check the condition of your every day flag. I usually replace mine if it shows wear (which is often) due to our brisk winds. A yearly replacement is not that expensive. The local boy scouts or the VFW will usually take your old, damaged flag and retire it with appropriate honors. DJW
Our local VFW has a drop off box right out front of the facility for torn or worn flags. It's a drive up just like a mail box. Pull up open the door place the flag inside close the door and you are done. Dennis USA Master Sergeant Ret.
