Brad NSW
Finalized the plans for our final touch to the truck. Should have it delivered to the front door by mid October. Custom features include an outboard motor mount along the right wall, the inflatable boat stores in the large storage area on the right, and the smart ramps store on the flanges on either side. Then I'll have room for tool boxes, wood working tools, reloading bench, ramp storage, tie-downs, spare parts, archery targets, firewood, etc... Can't wait to have the truck completed, just in time for retirement!!☺️!! 2010 Freightliner, DD15 Eaton Ultrashift, 2015 New Horizons 5th Wheel. SuiteSuccess
Brad, Will the ramps be easy to place or remove with the smart on the bed? 2006 Volvo 780 "Hoss" Volvo D12, 465hp, 1650 ft/lbs tq., ultrashift Bed Build by "JW Morgan's Custom Welding" 2017 DRV 39DBRS3 2013 Smart Passion Coupe "Itty Bitty" "Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. Brad NSW
The box is 78"x78" and the ramp holder flanges on each side, extend the total width to 91 3/8". Ramp stowage/removal will be just a TAD harder than hooking them up on the bed to load/unload the smart. Will probably install some hardwood rub panels to keep the ramps from rubbing the side of the box and inside of the flanges. That or some hard silver linoleum or pvc. Have to get it mounted, stare at for a bit and some solution will present itself... 2010 Freightliner, DD15 Eaton Ultrashift, 2015 New Horizons 5th Wheel.
