Bob1999
Question: I have a 2016 Jayco Eagle Travel Trailer 338RETS. I have problems with the kitchen slide out when I am retracting it, it keeps popping the auto reset fuse. Can anybody help with this problem? Darryl&Rita
Sounds like it's binding, somewhere. Fix the stick, it should cure the breaker issues. Your circuit breaker may be worn out or undersized....replace it.
Kirk W
Welcome to the Escapee forums. If the auto-reset breaker is tripping when it didn't before that would indicate that the motor is drawing excessi.ve current which usually means some type of mechanical problem. I would check the drive system for problems. If you replace it with one that has a higher current rating you could well be courting disaster. If you don't mind, I happen to know someone with that SKP# so are you by chance Jeanette? Edited November 16, 2019 by Kirk W Quote Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years...... lenp
I second the replace the breaker suggestion. Continued tripping weakens them. Are your batteries fully charged? Low voltage will cause higher current. Lenp Quote USN Retired 2012 F150 4x4 2018 Lincoln MKX 2019 HD Ultra Limited 2024 HD Triglide
Bob1999
Thank you for the information. I replaced the breaker with a 25 amp and it still did it so I put the 20 amp back in. The batteries are fully charged. To Kirk, no I am Bob. My SKP has 6 numbers.
DesertMiner
It only has a 20 amp breaker? Is it electric or hydraulic? Can you put an “amp meter“ on the wire coming from the breaker and get an amp reading while operating the slide?

I agree, like this one: https://www.sears.com/klein-tools-cl700-600-amp-true-rms-ac/p-A058028491?plpSellerId=Savings Kingdom&prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1 The HWH hydraulic system is also 12VDC powered, so works for both systems. You talk about fuse I the OP but then talk about replacing the breaker.
