Twotoes
I am thinking of visiting Mathews Arm camp ground in Shenandoah NP in May 2020. I have a 42 foot Class A pulling a Jeep Wrangler. Has anyone with a big rig driven there? Any problems with access especially on Skyline Dr? It looks like the north entrance is no problem. I have heard that there is a tunnel going in from the south. Kirk W
We were there, but it has been more than 10 years and we just drove through. I went to Goole satelliet thinking it would bring back memories but it really don't show the sites. The area is very heavily timbered and we drove through in route to the parking for the trail to the falls. I did read through the reviews at Campground Reviews and you may find them to be helpful. What I do remember is that it was a scenic area with heavy timber and a wonderful spot. We didn't stay in the campground because we were volunteering at the time, only about an hour away. Twotoes
Thanks Kirk. I have an offer to volunteer as a camp host for May and June but want to make sure my big rig will fit and be able to get in.
