marymonti
I use the Escapee mail service in Livingston, as we are full-timers. I did not receive any information concerning the 2020 Census in the mail. I went online to 2020census.gov to begin the process, using the "I have no Census ID" option. This requires entering ones address. When I used the mailing address ZIP code (77399) it was not accepted. When I changed the ZIP code to the general Livingston code (77351) I was able to proceed and complete the census information. Just thought I would mention this in the hopes that we all get counted. kb0zke
Is there any way that we can correct what we put in online? Like you, we didn't get anything in the mail, so we filled it out online. The instructions sure sounded like we had to put down where we were at that time (our winter base in NM), not our legal address (SD). After reading more since then, we really should have put down our SD address. Is there any way to correct it? We do have the number we got when we submitted the form online. Kirk W
From 2020Census.gov............ Quote If you feel you have made a mistake, you can return to the online questionnaire and resubmit your information. The Census Bureau has procedures in place to resolve duplicate submissions. Darryl&Rita
Also from 2020census.gov; You should be counted where you are living and sleeping most of the time as of April 1, 2020. If you are responding for your home, count everyone who lives and sleeps there most of the time as of April 1, 2020. The intent is to count everyone, on one day, to create a snapshot of life in America. By saying you're somewhere you're not, you're altering the snapshot. Let your conscience be your guide. Since the census is used for things like the number of U.S. Representatives in Congress from each state, if we were still fulltimers, I, too, would use my domicile address even if that is not where I physically was on April 1. marymonti
To not use your domicile address is to open the door to other problems down the road. Quote Rod & Mary
