Ray,IN
Camping World has two different kinds in their black Friday clearance ad. About 6 years ago DW bought some heavy non-slip stair tread mats, I trimmed them to size so they are a press-fit lengthwise. They work great, when they get dirty I pick them up wash them off with a hose, and when they are dry put them back on the steps. After 6 years they are beginning to show wear. 2gypsies
Did you put them in a washing machine? I purposely selected a dark color and just sweeping them worked and didn't show any dirt. Lasted 8 yr. hasti14
yes- they went in the washer. frayed the heck out them. first time washing them. last set - probably the originals hit the washer many times without getting beaten up
2gypsies
If you buy again.... don't put them in the washer. Would something like this work? I just did a Google and many more sites appear. Even those for a home may work. Good luck! https://kofflersales.com/p/stair-tread-mats.asp?itemid=78032?parameter&gclid=CjwKCAiA5IL-BRAzEiwA0lcWYrrax0laeCcY6Uuo4hIBid5nUt1KP0JL5ggIVVbMSmEgTquzn7fBoRoCTHcQAvD_BwE Edited November 27, 2020 by 2gypsies Quote Full-timed for 16 YearsTraveled 8 yr in a 2004 Newmar Dutch Star 40' Motorhome and 8 yr in a 33' Travel Supreme 5th Wheel
hasti14
nope- no more washers for the new ones. looks like prest-o-fit is the only choice for our steps
sandsys
I bought place mats that were the right length, folded them lengthwise and just laid them on my interior steps. I would simply shake them out when packing up to move but when they finally needed washing they survived just fine. chindog
We bought some rubber backed door mats at Rural King for 99 cents each. Cut them to fit both the interior and exterior steps. They work great! They clean up well with a garden hose. When they get too far gone, just toss them and spend another 4 bucks for a new set.
