Corkboard
We are considering moving to Wyoming later this year. We own a tiny house on wheels that can be registered as an RV, I believe. How has it been for people living either in a tiny house or RV in a more permanent situation? I’m looking in the Douglas area, specifically. Randyretired
Local codes may or may not allow it. Every area has it's codes and these can differ a lot. In the county we live in it would not be allowed but the adjacent county would allow it with some restrictions. You will need to check with the county. If you are in a RV park things are a lot easier than if you are planning on private land. Kirk W
Douglas is a very nice community of about 7,000 people and the county seat of Converse County. Like most of WY, winters there can be very cold and windy. It is at an altitude of 4,836 which for WY isn't that high. One of the issues would be to find a place to park your mini as most RV parks in that part of the country are closed in the winter. I believe that Douglas KOA is the only RV park in Douglas, but there are some in other communities nearby. I suggest that before you begin to travel to Douglas, you should contact both the city and the county for information. Quote Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years......
