SWharton
I am looking for someone who lives in Evergreen COHO.
2gypsies
Do you mean just anyone who's there to ask a question or a particular person? If a particular person try calling the park to see what information you can get. Information may be private. SWharton
We are staying a month as a break in our travels(started in April), then going to the west coast and down the PCH. Back to winter camp in Oct/Nov.
RV_
We've stayed there twice and love the area. Do visit Port Townsend nearby: https://enjoypt.com/ If you are going to be near in September Check out the wooden boats festival September 10-12th this year. We've been once and loved it. Thank goodness the park is close as I drank a bit of beer there. See pics and info in the next link: https://woodenboat.org/ And don't miss the Olympic N.P. https://www.nps.gov/olym/index.htm If you are taking 101 around the Peninsula we loved the Hoh N.P on the western side of the loop - great trails and fishing! https://www.walkopedia.net/best-world-walks/USA/Hoh-River-Trail Safe Travels! I agree with you on the beauty, but with them getting about 140" of rain, we declined to spend a 3 month campground host tour there. Near The Forks is both first and second beach that are very nice and also Lake Ozette. Quote Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years...... Bill Joyce
If you have a Discover Pass ($30 a year) there are multiple state parks in the area. We like to walk around Anderson Lake State Park, just to the west of Evergreen Coho. We also drive to Fort Flagler State Park and when in Port Townsend we go to Fort Worden State Park for walks. Fort Townsend State Park is also local. Quote 2004 40' Newmar Dutch Star DP towing an AWD 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid, Fulltimer July 2003 to October 2018, Parttimer now. 2gypsies
Drive down to Bainbridge Island, park the car and hop on the day ferry to the Seattle waterfront. It'll leave you off at the Aquarium/Pike's Market area. The Aquarium is nice. Walk a few blocks to get the monorail which will take you across the city to the World's Fair Space Needle. Take a ride to the top for a beautiful view of the waters, mountains and city. Take the monorail back to Pike's Market area and do some shopping then return to the ferry. It makes for a very nice day trip. Fort Worden used to have outside park concerts at lunch - free. Port Townsend also has a tiny aquarium area by the Fort Worden campground. You could also take the Coupeville ferry with your car from Port Townsend and drive up toward Anacortes... another nice day trip. Definitely drive up to Hurricane Ridge in Olympic Nat'l Park from Port Angeles ... more expansive views. RV_
I agree 2g. We drove down and over the bridge and camped at then McChord AFB now JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD for a couple of weeks. They have new one now with the joint base around a lake. We loved Pikes Market and that area has lots for anyone to do. But either there was no ferry or we did not know about it back then. That would have been much easier. If you haven't don the Hoh N.P. section of the rain-forest hit it when you go back or next time. Awesome trails. Second Chance
We've been on the list for membership at Evergreen Coho for a couple of years. Spent the summer of 2019 up there and loved it. When we get to the point we don't feel like traveling 100% of the time, we'll do summers at Coho and winters in southern NM (I have family there). We'll fly east to see the grandkids when they don't come out our way.
