I kind of like that we are a federation of individual States and Commonwealths, each a democracy which lets it's citizens decide it's rules and laws. I'd hate to think that we'd all be living under the rule of California, New York, Florida or Texas which are the most populous States. It may be inconvenient at times, but I like our system of government. If one doesn't agree with the rules, one can always move to another State which better reflects one's values.
