If you already have it, you could try but I doubt it would last very long. In my opinion they are just fancy electric resistance heaters that will use a lot of electrical power. I know of only one person who actually uses wood in a "Stove" to heat their home on wheels. I'm not sure where they source their material or at what cost, especially on the road.

I think that most of the value of one is the atmosphere added if you watch the flames, much like a real fireplace. Neither of them are especially good sources of heating. The electric heater part of yours is no different than an electric space heater but it isn't in the way so that too depends on how much you might use it. If it were me, I probably wouldn't be willing to spend much to keep it.
