palamine
Wind, rain, clouds, sunshine, hail and more rain. That's how our day has gone. Thank goodness there's no snow. Blowing like the dickens here. Rained from 2 am while it was blowing. Rained stopped by 6:00 am but not much sleep. It's been a do-nothing day. Soup and sandwiches for dinner. I have to admit I am socialized out. I want to put a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door until at least Tuesday. rmcf308
Don't understand the weather this year. I am back in North Georgie and the weather this week has been in the 80's all week, Next week is supposed to be the same, sunny and in the 80's. Today was at least 86. Go figure. Similar but we can also add SNOW to that list!! And, more of that stuff is expected overnight! Quote http://www.toadswildadventures.blogspot.com/ Just travelin' down life's highway-toot-toot! Striper
Here in the PNW we started out with just clouds, then a little rain, then back to just clouds, then SNOW, then SUNSHINE the rest of the day. And supposed to be SUNSHINE all day tomorrow. Nothing in the world like a day with SUN in the PNW. IYQ
The wind clocked at 42 mph here in Deming. No Drips thank goodness. The drip cap on the trucks side windows blew loose and was flapping against the side of the truck. I had to go out and cut it the rest of the way free. The Ladies Shower cap I keep on my bike seat blew away. I has never blown off going down the road at 60 MPH. I tried to carve but the trailer was rocking so bad I couldn't get the knife on the lines I had drawn. I pulled the slid in because it was making so much noise I couldn't here myself think. (Maybe that's because I wasn't thinking) All in all it was a beautiful day if you compare it with Anartica. I'm totally tapped out and it's more of the same for tomorrow. Wanderin
We didn't get the amount of snow that was predicted. That's a good thing. We also didn't get the strong winds that were predicted. That's also a good thing. We got some of each but not to the degree we expected. It is pretty looking at the snow covered mountains surrounding the area and knowing it's staying there and not going to get any lower. However, it is cold. We don't like cold so it's nice knowing that it'll be back in the upper 70's later this week but not sure how long we'll be here. steved44
It got a little chilly in Indio yesterday, but we made it through the tennis finals OK. They just had to stop one match for about 15 or 20 minutes while a little rain squall blew through, but they were able to finish. It sure looked like it was going to get bad, but it didn't. Now we're suffering from a little "tennis burnout", but it was fun to watch. We were planning on leaving here tomorrow to meet up with Carol's cousin in Prescott, but they got a foot of snow last night. Don't have a snow shovel on board, so Carol is going to walk ahead with a hair drier and clear it out.. 70 and sunny here today, so all the weather has gone East. We may just go as far as Quartzsite, fuel up, and wait to see how the weather goes. Meanwhile, I just found the pesky intermittent electrical problem I had with the aux light on the truck. One of the connections had rust in it and was just going on and off when it felt like it. IYQ
Yesterdat we got more wind in the 35 mph force with snow and sleet but it didn't stick. the Low was 26 and the Hi was only 47. I'd say it was pretty good weather compared to Anartica but I think maybe Anartica may have been better. I got out my dancing shoes today to go dancing at the Senior Center. The last time I went there I was the only man besides the caller and we only had one square and two of the seven women were rank beginners. A couple of the cowgirls here at the ranch who have recently graduated from a Mainstream class begged me to go. I guess I can stand another night but I sure hope things go better. Lavinmh
Well we had to get out the eraser again! No New Orleans this year or Biloxi. Over a week ago a bad storm went through Livingston and not sure what happened but all of a sudden our power board has shown only 30 amps even though we were hooked to a 50 amp power source. We went to West RV Monday and they isolated the problem to our EMS Board. They could not get one for a couple of weeks so we decided we would go on and get it fixed once we got to Bowling Green. Tuesday morning we did find a dealership in Nashville that even had the part so we made an appointment for next Thursday to get that done. We arrived in Kinder, LA around 7 pm Monday evening. We planned to stay at the casino for a couple of days and then on to New Orleans and Biloxi. All those plans went out the window, when last evening our refrig again stopped working. Onto the computer I went and found a couple of places in Hammond La. Then the storm hit the Kinder area. It rained hard, a lot of lightning and thunder and wind. Went we got up this morning, the last thing we wanted to do was head east back into that storm!! So we found this dealership in Shreveport. We could not have made a better decision. This place is a small dealership but they have a free full service campground while we are waiting for a part. Turns out it is the board that was their recall part. So best of all its not going to cost us a thing!!! Still need to take care of the EMS board so that will be an expense but everything could be a lot worse. So New Orleans will have to wait. I'll get there someday. Tonight we are looking to get some sleep. No storms tonight. Quote Linda and Ed Lavinlavinmh@yahoo.com

IYQ
Square dancing last night wasn't much but I had fun anyway and also found out how out of shape I'm in. It was mostly one night stand stuff to attract new students but there was one tip of low level Mainstream. Today the sun came to visit and it wasn't near as cold but we had a steady 10 to 20 MPH breeze. Just enough to spoil a beautiful day for sitting out and soaking up the rays. I still don't have my 1099's so I guess I'll have to call again and let them know what I think of their customer service department. steved44
Ed & Linda, you guys sure have all the luck. At least the fridge part won't cost you anything. I hope you guys get your other problem fixed. Do you think lightening caused it, or a power surge due to the storm. I've gotten where I unhook from shore power when a storm comes in. Of course out in this part of the country they don't seem to know what rain and lightening are?? We have moved the pin quite a bit. We are now parked in a mall lot in Gallup New Mexico. Nice drive up the mountain at Flagstaff today and here it was 72 degrees. There was a lot of snow left over in Flagstaff, but no wind and the roads were clear. We are really headed for Tulsa, as Carol has a photography conference there and we want to get set up before it starts. We are meeting a couple of our RV photography friends there to camp for a week. Got to see Mike and Debbie for a brief time yesterday morning in the Walmart parking lot in Prescott. We had just come back from breakfast with Carol's cousin and there they were. They had to get on the road, so all we could do was "hug and go", but it was nice to see them again. It was a nice time in "Q" and Yuma this winter and we sure hope we can do it again. Well the sun is setting over our new home at the Rio West Mall, so I'll sign off and enjoy it. IYQ
I called BNY Mellon today to have them change my legal address and ask the gal what the dollar value was on the 1099 they were supposed to have sent here and never came. Then I went to H&R Block and made an appointment to do the taxes without the actual 1099. Then my house keeper called and told me there was a letter from BNY Mellon marked "Important Tax Information" So now I know where they sent the 1099. What I don't know is why they sent one here and one to NC when I requested both of them at the same time and asked that they be sent here. Oh Well, It gives me something to sputter about. I still don't have the feet to re-mount my solar panels with. Now I don't have the time left to do the job after they do get here. I'll have to do it one panel at a time on my way back to NC. The weather was much better today. I was even able to run around town with no jacket on. We are supposed to have some 80's over the weekend. IYQ
Hooray!! My taxes are filed and my mounting feet for the solar panels got here. Now all I need is the last mailing of my stuff from back in NC and my Housekeeper sent it out yesterday. Then I'll be free to go when and where I want. The Gal that does my taxes called this morning while I was on my way to her office and said don't come my printer broke down. I told her I'd be there in 5 minutes anyway. When I got there she told me the repairman was working on it now. I ask her to call me when it was working again and I'd be back within 10 minutes. So down the road to a restaurant and ordered a cup of coffee and a cinnamon roll. I was only half done eating that roll when she called again and said it works now. So I left the rest of the roll on the table and headed for her office. Within 30 minutes I was done and on my way home. Then at happy hour UPS came with my parts. Then I took one of the cowgirls out to dinner. all in all it was a good day. The weather even cooperated. 83 high and 43 low with full sun and only a mild breeze. Sandie & Jim
Got to see Jeff and Tina when they came by last night. Then tonight we happened to get on the same tram with them on the way to the entertainment. Jeff wasn't feeling real good so here's hoping he's doing much better in the morning. Rally is over with and we head back to AJ tomorrow morning. I can't imagine what a mess it's going to be like trying to get everybody out of here. If we hook up, the motorhomes across from us don't have room to get out and we don't have room to pull out either. We're hoping the motorhome behinds us leaves rather early because they have lots of room to get out and then we could back out. It is going to be a zoo and they want us all out of here by 10:00 a.m. Yea right - that's going to happen.
